Case Studies At A Glance:
The Multiple Sclerosis Center of Atlanta was looking for additional funding, particularly to undergird charity care and operations. The Center needed a strategic fundraising plan and outside resource to carry it out. Wellspring built a development office from the ground up, managing three events a year, directing the annual fund, direct mail campaigns, and managing grant writing and foundation relationships. The MS Center of Atlanta is the beneficiary of the 2013 WXIA Community Awards. To date, Wellspring has raised over $1.6 million for the Center. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta appointed Wellspring to work on a series of federal grants for 2012. Wellspring composed the grants, which generated $1.6 million for the hospital. For more information about Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, visit www.choa.org/
Wellspring worked with Oglethorpe University to write grants for a comprehensive capital campaign and a $15,000,000 Campus Center. The grants raised more $8 million from 2011 to 2012 and helped Oglethorpe complete a campaign record. For more information about Oglethorpe University, visit www.oglethorpe.edu
Georgia Wildlife Federation has been a client since 2008. GWF hired Wellspring to conduct a capital campaign for its Alcovy Conservation Center expansion as well as a pre-campaign planning study for Mill Creek Nature Center. GWF also asked Wellspring to direct its Shoot for Conservation sporting clay event. The capital campaign allowed GWF to carry through the most pressing aspects of the renovation, and the pre-campaign study analyzed the organization’s fundraising strength, evaluated the campaign goal, identified potential volunteers and prospects, and provided steps to help Georgia Wildlife achieve its fundraising goal for Mill Creek Nature Center. The Conservation Sporting Clay Shoot gave the Federation another source of annual revenue. For more information about Georgia Wildlife Federation, visit www.gwf.org
